Preschool | The Caughlin Club.

Welcome to Caughlin Club Kidz!   We are very happy to provide your child with a fun, developmentally appropriate educational experience. Every day our staff plans fun learning experiences for your child keeping in mind the developmental stage of each child. It may look like play, but hands on learning is how children learn best. We offer large motor activities on our playgrounds and in the gym next door. Every day we do academics featuring math, literacy and science. Because we are concerned with the development of the whole child, we encourage the formation of social relationships using small groups, socialization at meal times, sharing at circle time and teacher guided activities exploring feelings and emotions.  Your child is a unique individual and we want each child to feel special and appreciated.

Caughlin Club Kidz is open to all children on a space available basis. Your participation in your child’s preschool experience is encouraged and welcomed. At least every month you will be invited to participate in a classroom activity, informational evening, field trip or special event. At any time you would like to come and observe you are welcome to do so.  If you have a special talent, would like to read a favorite book, or just hang out with your child’s class, please let the teacher know.

Your child will have a cubby to store their belongings. We encourage you to keep expensive toys at home so they do not get lost and broken at school. We have lots of toys and equipment at school, so bringing toys to school should be done only on sharing days.  Your child’s teacher will let you know exactly what needs to come to school. No matter what room your child is in, please label everything with your child’s first and last name.

You may bring lunch for your child, or we have a daily hot lunch option.   You may also bring breakfast or we do have breakfast available for your child.    Each month in your newsletter is the breakfast and lunch menu or they are available at the front desk. If you wish to purchase either breakfast or lunch, we will charge your account and it will appear on your next statement.

Tuition is due on the 8th of the month. If you need another arrangement, please let me know.

Please read our Policies and Procedures for information on ill children. Washoe County regulates when we must exclude children from care. Generally we rely on you to decide when you think your child is too sick for school.   If they have a fever, are vomiting or have diarrhea, we will call you to pick up your child. Children must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.

We are very happy that you have chosen us to care for your child and look forward to getting to know your family.

If at any time you have questions or concerns feel free to contact Darlene at 747-6072 or Darlene@caughlinclub.com
