2010 CAUGHLIN CLUB TENNIS CALENDAR    

August

August 7 & 8, 21 & 22, Sat. & Sun TWO Weekends:  World Team Tennis (WTT) Tournament ADULTS.

Levels:  3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5  Six teams each level .  Five matches over the weekend. $25/person

August 28 & 29 Sat. & Sun:  Caughlin Club Doubles Junior Tournament:  Doubles for Juniors only 14, 16 & 18s.  (refer to the BLTA Satellite Tournament Series)

September

Sept. 16, Thursday – Margarita Mixed Doubles Mixer  6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Sign up required.

October

October 9 & 10. Sat & Sun Playoff weekend:  BART CUP  Adults club championships. Singles, Doubles & Mixed.  BBQ.

October 15 & 17, Fri, Sat, Sun:  Northern Nevada High School Championships  (Tentative)

October 22, 23, 24, Fri, Sat, Sun:  Nevada State High School Championships   (Tentative)

November

Nov. 7, Sunday 1 – 3:00 pm:  Wild Turkey. Fun round robin format with the winners in each division receives a prize.

December

December 3, Friday  11:00 – 1:00 pm:  Ladies Cookie Exchange and Social Tennis

2010 Events

JUNE 24, THURSDAY EVENING:   We had such a wondeful time on Thursday evening with the Hot Summer Mixer.  Originally called Margaritaville.  There were 22 players that played four rounds of mixed doubles. Congratulations to Sam Kumar and Paula Kaley and Kenny Longballa and Jodi Schwartz for tieing and winning the Team competition.  Winner for the women's was Andrea Wicker and the men was Greg Gilbert. Thanks for playing. Next Hot Summer Mixer is scheduled for July 15.  Sign up early to save a spot.  We have room for only 28 players.

February -  Valentine Smooch.  We had 33 participants.  Winner of the men's division was First place:  Sam Kumar and Second place:  Vic Shannon.  First place women's division was Karen Shannon and Second place: Paula Kaley.  Thank you for everyone who participated and made this event FUN.       

January  -  Ladies Social Tennis and Luncheon.  We had 26 Ladies join in with Queen of the Court tennis and tennis games then off to lunch at the Caughlin Club Cafe where another 10 ladies joined the group to celebrate Muffy Dinter's 80th birthday party.  George Bonari even came in to celebrate Muffy's birthday celebration.  A big thanks to Jill Ennis, Terri Fritz and AnnMarie Walsh for all of the deco and ideas for such a wonder surprise. YOU ROCK MUFFY !

FUN, FUN, YUM, YUM....The ladies brought two dozen of their favorite HOMEMADE holiday cookies or candies to exchange and share.  Hot apple cider was  served.  Enjoy the pictures.
