Caughlin Athletic Club Welcomes Physical Therapist, Thais Mollet, DPT
In addition to her 16 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in Reno, Thaïs works with the US National Track Cycling Team and travels with them to international competitions including the Olympic Games.

Prior to starting MOLLET PHYSICAL THERAPY, Thaïs served for 12 years as the head of a Physical Therapy spine clinic in Sparks.  Thaïs has enjoyed a wide range of professional experiences from working with professional athletes at the X Games in Aspen to helping critically injured patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Renown Medical Center, as well as a wide array of orthopedic and spine injuries in between.

Thaïs’ goals with each patient are to identify the approach that will best decrease pain and increase overall function; whether that means getting back on the tennis court, being able to sit at a desk or lift something off the floor without back pain, or getting back to being World Champion on the bike.

At MOLLET PHYSICAL THERAPY, patients can expect the highest quality of care and undivided attention from Thaïs for their entire session.  Thaïs takes pride in empowering her patients to reach their maximum level of function and live life to the fullest. While educating them on symptom management with a home program, Thaïs focuses on getting the patient in and out of therapy faster.

  • Opening The Club

    To Our Valued Members,

Thank you for the support you have shown us during this very difficult time. I would like to assure you that your health and wellbeing is our main concern – this also applies to our staff and children that are placed in our care. The re-opening of the Club will be done in phases. In this letter, I would like to share with you our current thoughts about the first phase of re-opening.

Initially, when we re-open on Friday, May 29th, we are asking that all members sanitize their hands at the front desk upon entering the facility. You will see a board with very specific questions – If you answer yes to any of the questions, we ask that you refrain from working out and using the facility. At this time guests will NOT be allowed.

We ask that you maintain at least a distance of 6’ from other members. This may require stepping aside and waiting for a machine to avoid closer proximity. Locker rooms at this time will remain closed until further notice. Family changing rooms will be available in the lobby (showers will not be available). We ask that only 2 people enter at a time.

Please sanitize any equipment you will use including but not limited to, weights, equipment, mats, balls, and benches. We will have sanitizing stations throughout the facility. Please continue to sanitize or wash your hands throughout your workout and keep your hands off your face. We have increased staff to ensure the sanitizing of the equipment throughout the day. We WILL NOT be offering towel service or water until further notice.

June 8th, we will re-open Group X classes with a limited schedule and class sizes. Classes will be posted in the lobby as well as on our website. To better manage class sizes and proper distancing, as well as minimizing any frustration coming to the Club to find the class is already at capacity, we ask that you call in 30 minutes before class starting or you may sign up 30 minutes before class at the front desk. We will follow social distancing protocols in the classes. Members are welcome to bring their own mats, but please do not bring any other outside equipment. At this time, men’s pickup and group basketball will be canceled until further notice. General “shoot around” will be available.

We are waiting for guidance on the pool and spa best practices which may determine the timing of their re-opening. I anticipate the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), will be issuing helpful information and also anticipate guidance from the state and federal health officials.

During our closure, we have worked on the entire facility. Cleaning (sanitizing), painting, and general updating. We also drained and re-painted the pool with all new striping.

If we all work together, we will stay safe and eventually enjoy a thriving facility that we all love.

Thank you, we miss our Caughlin family and we look forward to seeing you soon!!!

  • To Our Valued Members

    To Our Valued Members:

I would first like to thank you for the support you have shown us during this very difficult time.  I would also like to assure you that the health and wellbeing of you, our staff, and the children placed in our care is our main priority.  The reopening of our Club will most likely be in phases until normal activity is achieved.

In this letter, I would like to share with you our current thoughts about the first phase of reopening.

Initially, when we reopen, we are asking that all guests sanitize their hands at the front desk during check-in.  We will have a display of questions regarding your current feeling of health for that day, and request if any of the conditions apply, please refrain from using the facility that day.

Please maintain a distance of at least six (6) feet from other members.  You may have to stand back and wait to use a machine, check-in, use the sink in the restroom, etc.

Please sanitize any equipment that you will use including but not limited to weights, equipment, mats, balls, and benches.  We have sanitizing stations throughout the facility for your use.  Additionally, please sanitize or wash your hands throughout your stay.  We have increased our staff to ensure the sanitizing of equipment during the day.

At a later date, we will reopen Group X classes on a limited schedule and class size.  Available classes will be posted in the lobby and on our website.   To better manage class size and keep with proper distancing, as well as minimizing any frustration overcoming to the club to find the class is already at capacity, we are asking you either call or sign up at the front desk 30 minutes prior to class.

At this time, men’s pickup and group basketball will be canceled until further notice.  General basketball “shoot around” will still be available.

We are waiting for guidance on the pool and spa best practices which may determine the timing of their re-opening.  I anticipate the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) will be issuing helpful information and also anticipate guidance from the state and federal health officials.

During our closure, we have worked on our spa and pools and cleaning and painting the Club.

If we all work together, we will stay safe and eventually enjoy a thriving facility that well all love and enjoy.

Thank you.  We miss our Caughlin family and we look forward to seeing you soon.

    Sincerely,

    Marlene Rousseau
