Caughlin Athletic Club Tennis would like to welcome

    Welcome Chris Sexton Tennis Pro
Ever since the age of 8, Chris and his twin brother Nick grew up developing a love for tennis in the Reno community. After partial training as a youth at Caughlin Athletic Club, Sexton went on to play in the USTA junior circuit competing against top-ranked national players. Sexton made the varsity tennis team at Reno High School in 2008 and went on to win the state championship his senior year in 2011. After graduating in 2012, Sexton played on the University of Nevada, Reno tennis team for one season before he quit to focus on school and music. In May 2018, Sexton earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from UNR and began his career as a tennis instructor at Caughlin Athletic Club that same month.

    Welcome Lucy Conklin
Lucy started tennis at 5 years old and grew up playing the Junior Circuit. She attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale on a tennis scholarship and majored in Music Education. She has been teaching tennis since high school and has taught at Livermore Valley Tennis Club, The Ridge Racquet Club in Grass Valley, Martis Camp Tennis Center in Truckee, and is excited to be joining the crew at Caughlin Ranch. Lucy has spent the past 7 years coaching the Truckee High School boys Tennis Team leading the team to Regional Championships, attendance at State Championships, and having individuals win Singles and Doubles Regional and State Titles. Lucy’s 4 kids all enjoy playing tennis at the high school level and lots of family doubles time! When not playing and teaching tennis you can find Lucy off camping and hiking with her husband and their dog, skiing in the winter and enjoying some quiet time at the lake. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the court!

  • Caughlin Athletic Club Welcomes Personal Trainer Dell Etherly

Caughlin Athletic Club Welcomes Personal Trainer Dell Etherly

Dell is also a group fitness instructor specializing in CrossFit and Bootcamp formats. Dell Etherly, born and raised in Chicago, IL has been an athlete for most of his life. At the age of 13, he began studying Martial Arts. He practiced Muay Thai for seven years before making a transition to boxing, in hopes of earning a living as a professional fighter. During that time he also played professional arena league football for the Chicago Rush. A rotator cuff injury from his football career led to a long layoff, causing him to retire from professional sports altogether. It was then when he decided to take the knowledge he had gained as an athlete and put it to good use by helping others obtain their health and fitness goals.
